Happy New Year!

Finally, after 12 long, hard months, another new year is upon us. 2010 was filled with lots of surprises, and hopefully 2011 will be even better! First off, I would like to apologize for not having the information from my last two shows up. My computer died the day before my last “official” show  and I just  got it replaced. But it’s a new year with new beginnings, which means that I have a clean slate (right?). So, to kick off the new year, here are some of my New Years resolutions:

1. Actually update on time!

2. Bringing you new and exciting posts, with information on current events, reviews, interviews, and other awesome stuff!

3. Restructuring In the Land of Make Believe in order to bring better more interesting content to you.

4. I will stop rambling on air! I swear!

5. More theme shows! (Those were fun!)

6. Eat halthier.

7. Try to procrastinate less (though I’ll probably start this one later…).

I promise you, all of the listeners of In the Land of Make Believe, that I will do all of the above. And if I don’t… well, I’ll try 🙂

I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! I’ll be back on air in late January with regular programming beginning in February. Until then, feel free to check out some of our other awesome DJ’s as they play away the holidays on air at WHRW 90.5 fm Binghamton and online at http://whrw.org/listenlive.php.

It’s the penultimate update!

HI! Wow, this has been a while. Sorry about that, things have been crazy lately. I haven’t had a show in 2 weeks until yesterday! However, now I am back and better than ever! This week I went on my Harry Potter speal, going on about how awesome the 7th movie was. I personally believe that this movie was the best one so far. Everything about it was done wonderfully, and it was a largely faithful adaptation of the book. I also mentioned the Bob Dylan concert at the Binghamton University Events Center two weeks ago. That was super awesome, but also slightly disappointing because Bob Dylan can no longer sing.

That is the bulk of news for the week. I hope you all enjoyed you Thanksgiving! Mine was great. I got to see family and eat awesome food, it was heaven. I also hope that you enjoyed DJ Bunneh’s takeover of my show on November 18th. I heard it went well, so yay! If you guys like him, maybe I’ll bring him back one day.

So, finally, here is the music you heard:

“Troublemaker” – Weezer

“Don’t Worry, Be Happy” – Bobby McFerrin

“Billionaire (Feat. Buno Mars)” – Travis McCoy

“Follow Me” – Uncle Kracker

“Hakuna Matata” – The Lion King

“He Mele No Lilo” – Lilo and Stitch

I’ll Follow the Sun” – The Beatles

“I’m a Believer” – Smash Mouth

“Do You Believe in Magic?” – The Lovin’ Spoonful

“Just a Ride” – Jem

“We’re Gonna be Friends” – The White Stripes

“The Stars” – Jukebox the Ghost

“Spaceman” – Th Killers

By the way, next week is the last show of the semester, so please tune in!

Super Special Show

Hello world!

Tonight, In the Land of Make Believe is going to have a super special 3 hour show! This show is going to have some super awesome music, extra apprentices (yay apprentices!) and more! Catch us tonight at 10:00! The playlist will be posted tomorrow. I hope everyone enjoys it!

Um… This is late…

Hi guys!

So, yeah, I hope you enjoyed your weekends. I would have updated this earlier, but Hyper Bunny was taking a much needed weekend of rest and laziness, which involved a lot of reading and TV watching. It felt so nice to not have any studying to do for once :).

This week  we returned to our normal theme of, well, no theme, and we discussed… nothing. The only subject matter seemed to be my exhaustion and need for coffee. I REALLY needed coffee, lol. However, despite my rambling, we had an awesome line up of music, including, but not limited to:

“We’re All to Blame” – Sum 41

“Walking On Sunshine” – Katrina and the Waves

“Times Like These” – Foo Fighters

“Rippy the Gator” – The Arrogant Worms

“Sam’s Town” – The Killers

“Epiphany” – Bowling for Soup

“Livin’ on a Prayer” – Bon Jovi

“Island in the Sun” – Weezer

“Plastic Beach” – Gorillaz

“First Date” – Blink 182

“Into the Ocean” – Blue October

“Poor Unfortunate Souls” – The Little Mermaid

In the End” – Linkin Park

I hope that you guys all tune in next week when we have  a not-so new but definitely improved and awake Hyper Bunny!

Comedy Night!

*Gasp* Hyper Bunny has… a THEME?! That’s right, tonight is a theme night here on In the Land of Make Believe. Now, I know you are probably wondering why I suddenly decided I wanted to have a themed show. The simple answer is because I felt like it. But, that’s not sufficient, so here’s the whole story.

I was searching our record library, when I came across our comedy section and found the most awesome comedy music EVER. I located Monty Python, Weird AL Yankovic, and even the Arrogant Worms. As I kept pulling out music, I decided “Hey, what the hell, I’ll make it a comedy night!” I was in a good mood, so I decided to roll with it. Thus, here we are with a theme night.

After the show, I post the music/artists I played, and links (where appropriate). So join in, and and laugh your buts off!

Okay, so like I promised, here is a short list of what was played:

Monty Python: “The Lumberjack Song”, “Camelot/Knights of the Round Table”, “I’m All Alone (from Spamalot)”

Weird Al Yankovic: “Harvey the Wonder Hamster”, “Jurassic Park”, “The Saga Begins”

A Very Potter Musical: “Different As Can Be”, “Granger Danger”

Urinetown: “Don’t Be the Bunny”

Danny Elfman: “Kidnap the Sandy Claws” from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Robin Williams: “You’ve Never Had a Friend Like Me” from Aladdin

“Animaniacs Theme”

Brobdingnagian Bards: “The Jedi Drinking Song (A Star Wars Parody)”

So, that is a listing of what I can remember playing. I hope you guys like the show, it was so much fun to do! For those of you who would like to check out A Very Potter Musical, there is a link posted in the “Cool Links” Section. I hope you all have marvelous, laugh filled weekends! Check us out again next week when we do our Halloween show!
